20 Months Old

Wow I have not posted in quite awhile. Lucas and Rachael are doing great, getting big and into everything. Lucas has been walking since March 20th. Rachael is not walking yet by herself but will walk along the couch and behind the push toys. She has been increased to twice a week for physical therapy to try to get her to walk and for a long time she would sit in the "w" position which is a big no no in the therapist eyes....

I cant believe that they are 20 months old. Where has the time gone?

Lucas has to go see an allergy specialist in a few weeks because about 3 weeks ago or so he was all broke out in eczema and they tested him for food allergies and the results came back showing that he has some food allergies so they want him to see a specialist. But in my opinion it is hard to tell if the eczema was from the food allergies or because alot of my family has it including me. Rachael gets it every once in a while too but nothing like he had. So we will go and have him tested for allergies.

Update

At our last visit to the doctors for their RSV shot, Lucas weighed 23 pounds 3 ounces and Miss Rachael weighed 17 pounds. We have to go back on the 16th for the last round of RSV for this year. They also have a well visit that day too. Mr. Lucas will be having surgery on March 12th, he needs to have his circumcision redone. My poor little boy. The doctor said we need to have it done as soon as possible so it doesnt cause problems later in life for him with him remembering that someone cut down there. He will need to be put out for it. We have to go tomorrow to see the doctor. I will let you know how it goes and also their weights from their checkups. Until then, here are a few recent pictures of them.

14 months now

I cant believe our babies are 14 months old now. It sure has gone by quick. I look at pictures from when we brought them home and cant believe they are the same babies. Lucas now weighs 23 pounds 8 ounces, Rachael weighs 16 pounds 14.5 ounces. Rachael has almost 8 teeth in now and Lucas has 6. They had an evaluation from their therapists yesterday and they both are being cut back to once a week now instead of 2.. YAY.. They are catching right up now to a full time baby. They still have slight delays but getting there. Lucas will walk when holding on one of his walking toys. Rachael is still trying to get steady with her little legs. She still wears 3-6 month clothes. So tiny. But she has quite the attitude....

Rachael does have a black eye now. She could not wait for me to get her out of her chair so she took it upon herself to get out and fell face first on the carpet. Her eye swelled up so fast and turned black n blue very quickly.

Update

Wow, it has been a very long time since I have posted on here. Well here are a few pictures from their first birthday first....

Lucas' First Haircut

Well we had to break down and get his hair cut, he really needed it.. He was such a good boy, did get mad a few times at the barber but that was to be expected. It mainly occurred when the barber was cutting his bangs and sides where he could see a little bit of what was going on. But here are a few pics from his big hair cut. He looks all grown up now.... Sniff Sniff...

Quick Update

Two weeks from today they will be a year old, cant believe it. I have an out of town doctors appointment that day so its going to kill the day but we will make the best of it. Their birthday party is on Sat, the 22nd.

Lucas has now mastered the crawling on all 4's. He smiles so big after he does it, so cute.

Rachael sat up from laying on the floor the other day. Its the first time she has sat up by herself without being assisted. So proud of her. They sure have made big progress in the past few months.

Next week is Rachael's GI appointment. I cant wait to go and see what can be done to hopefully stop her spitting up.

First Trip with the Twins......

We made our trip to Pittsburgh for the wedding. I figured that they would sleep most of the way down there because they always fall asleep in the car but they were wide awake looking around and laughing. They were off schedule with their naps but they did great. They didnt get cranky or anything. They didnt even let us know when they were hungry because there was so much going on so we had to make sure we watched the clock. The only time Lucas cried the whole time we were there is after they were pronounced man and wife when everyone starting clapping. They really didnt sleep well in the pac n plays at the hotel but they made up for it when we got home. They slept till after 9 Sunday morning. They were tired little people.

We have had Rachael to the doctors again for her spitting up and being constipated. The doctor said her spitting up could be due to being constipated so she had us give her miralax in her bottles and her constipation was gone and so was the spitting up so she wanted us to go back to the zantac and she began spitting up again. So another call to the doctors office and they said to give her one teaspoon a day of miralax and see how she did with this. Well she is still spitting up so she had referred her to a GI doctor. We go there on the 13th of November.

Just busy planning their big 1st birthday party. Cannot believe that they are almost 1 already, trying to figure out where the time has gone.

They both have 2 teeth now. Rachael started kinda crawling last night. She will pull herself across the floor dragging her legs. She wanted the remote so she went and got it. The other day Lucas tried pulling himself on the back of Rachael's chair. I really think he is going to walk before he crawls. We will see.........

Here are a few pictures from our trip.... Enjoy...
